The City of InklingWoah! This place is crazy! Was that a four legged duck just there? This is the world where the gods are either constantly drunk or completely insane. This city just shows it. The purple sky outlines the rather grubby looking buildings that were once grand. They seem to be made out of some sort of black stone... Most of the city is cheery as well as completely insane, but the deeper you go into this place, the creepier and more strange it gets. Our advice? Stick to the main streets and don't wander after dark... Moderator: Moderators | 2 | 3 | Mon Feb 07, 2011 7:13 pm Mousen Heath |
Everfall ForestUs Inklings aren't known for our originality in naming... Well, we aren't known for anything aside from being completely insane, but there you go. This is the Everfall Forest, or if you want to use the local name The Orange Forest. In short it's a forest where is autumn-like all year round. There's even that bitter chill to the air that one might expect on a fall morning... Moderator: Moderators | 1 | 6 | Sun Jan 23, 2011 4:16 pm Ray |
The FactoriesThis place is really too dark for my tastes. Lines of black factories blemish the horizon, green smoke billowing from their high chimneys. What they actually do is unknown, but if it's something for the good of Inkling I'll eat my hat. Nothing grows here and the air is odd... Tainted perhaps. This is a very sinister place to be. Inksplat CityThat's not it's real name by the way. The city's real name is long forgotten under a mound of rainbow sand. Oh, did I forget to mention that? The city was hit by a freak sandstorm and was swamped by rainbow sand. They've started to clear it out now though. It's returning to it's position as one of the craziest and most vibrant of all the cities in Inkling. All the buildings here are made of white stone, a contrast to the black of The Main City Of Inkling. It's a generally happy, crazy, place, despite being uncomfortably close to the factories... Morel CavesNamed for the florescent and delicious morel mushrooms that inhabit these massive caves. They stretch on for miles acting more like an underground maze than caves. Thank goodness you've always got something to light the way, because of the brightly coloured mushrooms that glow blue (there's also been recorded sightings of green, pink and orange mushrooms too!) And because of the strange glowing moths that feed of the mushrooms. Just be-careful not to get lost. Moderator: Moderators | 1 | 1 | Wed Jan 19, 2011 7:47 pm Firetra |
Pranxtor's BeachIt seemed strange that the God of Fire has a beach named after him, doesn't it? Well, he's just as crazy as the other gods... He was more outwardly crazy than most, his love of sandcastles proved that. Which is why he's got a beach named after him... Oddly Enough. Nevertheless, this beach has a very strange colour sand, a very light lilac which mixed with the permanently purple sky has an odd, almost hypnotic effect on the eyes... The Painted CityThe artistic heart of Inkling, some call it the very soul of Inkling itself. Everything here is painted, the buildings, the cobbles, the trees the leaves. Everything is a work of art. Even the butterflies are painted! Some paintings are beautiful, while others dark and hideous. Each unique, each as strange as the one before it. No one knows the colour of the stone which this city is made of, it's lost under layers of paint. No one even remembers the artists that painted everything, art is a skill lost to most. Barely anyone can paint anymore, it's very rare to see anyone painting the city. It's all lost to the past along with the ability for most to create art. Aside from those who carry 'the gift' that is. Moderator: Moderators | 0 | 0
Pigment SwampsSadly this place isn't actually named for the strange colour of the mud that pigments the place (The mud is actually a strange blue colour over here, but that's perfectly normal. Don't let it bother you.) It's actually named for the bright-blue pigs that make this strange swamp their home. ... Did I mention the whole place smells oddly like lemon balm and lavender? Well it does. Moderator: Moderators | 0 | 0
The Figment RiverNamed for the figs that you find floating in it -shot- Okay, I lied. The Figment River flows between the grey-lilac clouds of Inkling, it's waters a deep navy. It's very hard to fish there. Mainly because, well, it's few hundred feet in the air. On the upside the fish population is thriving. Beneath the Figment river is what seems to be a dried up river bed, or a small beach. It's a popular spot for tourists, actually. When the sun hits the navy waters they light up spectacularly throwing a breath taking, gentle blue light onto the river bed. Alot of Inklings find this small spot relaxing and like to come here during the summer months. Whenever that may be. Moderator: Moderators | 1 | 4 | Thu Feb 10, 2011 5:44 pm auntslappy |

Every artist has their own space and we've got a wonderful community room. Overlooking the Figment River bed, we've even got fantastic views! We take up most precautions against those which may have a grudge against artists. Rest assured, no one has died yet! (*Straight jackets are optional. The Post Office [Battle Arena]Battling, Inkling style! Oh, allright. I suppose 'The Post Office' doesn't sound very threatening... But I'll have you know, this is an Inkling post office, and it certainly isn't your average one. What used to be full of desks and letters is now just an massive empty space, the wooden floors slightly stained from the many battles which have taken place here over the years. An inside balcony encircles the massive room, where the crowds can look down upon the fighting. In one corner a rather sleepy looking creature sits, ready to take your bets for this weeks fight.
