:: The Cottage ::
Walking through the forest you notice a rather well kept cottage. It's walls are clean, the thatch roof perfectly in order. Whoever lives there must like to keep things clean and tidy. A cobbled pathway leads to the door, which has a round window it in. You follow up the path and stand up tip-toes to look in the window. Very well kept in deed. You wonder who has the time to keep their cottage so clean. You notice that there is no one in the cottage, but as you turn to look away you see movement. Was that a tail?
You step off the porch and walk around the back of the house. Maybe the owner is out back. You walk to the back of the house. There you see a well kept garden surrounded by a wooden fence to keep large animals out. So the owner is a gardener too. After looking around some more you turn to leave. Oh well, maybe next time.
Just then, a voice calls out, "Who are you?" You spin around to see a young girl dressed in rather old fashioned clothing. Sandals adorn her feet and her long light blonde hair is pulled back in a braid running down her back. Other more intricate braids are in the front. Her bright blue eyes drill you for an answer. They are soft, but stern. After some time you answer her, and tell her you were only looking around. You meant no harm. "Oh," she says simply. "Well, just be careful, some of the animals bite."

:: About the Cottage::

4.) As you might have noticed, not all of the creatures have a description. That is because I like to develop a character as I rp them. Sometimes they have little things jotted down about them. Once they are rped once, they usually get more of a description.

:: The People ::


Jobie: She is the caretaker of the Cottage. She loves animals of all kinds and has quite the collection. She runs most things around the Cottage. She has long light blond hair that is usually pulled back in a braid running down her back. Other more intricate braids are in the front. Her bright blue eyes are usually soft, yet stern. She likes avian types of animals. She appears to be about 17 years of age.


Ned: He is the 'hired' help, a.k.a. Jobie's younger(twin) brother. He loves animals as well, and loves that he gets paid for taking care of his big sister's animals. He will usually buy an animal or something for one of his animals with his runes. He has light blond hair, like his sister's, but it is cut shorter, having a shaggy appearance. His eyes, however, are of a different color. They are brown, like dark chocolate would be. The types of animals he cares for are all kinds of different ones, though he favors dogs.


Rat: Yes, his name is Rat. Why? Because he kinda looks like a rat, with his wild eyes and frizzy hair, but also because he LOVES rats. He is the rat breeder at the Cottage and loves to see what he can get from different breedings. He is usually found either A) with his rats; B) taking a nap in a nest of straw or C) pouring over his books of rats and their genetics. He isn't as rat-brained as he looks, he's actually quite smart.


Esther: She is mysterious. Her dark blue eyes are always full of emotion. Her semi-long, curly hair is as black as night and always falling into her face. She loves felines and hates canines. As a little girl she was always the one to 'run the house' after her mother ran off. Her father beat her and when she was old enough she ran off.

Sapphire; Female Random Hoolie

Sapphire loves plants. She just can't get enough of them. It's kind of odd, though, she hates water. With her blue coat, one might think she loved swimming. In fact, she hates it. She doesn't like any bodies of water, be it stream, lake or ocean. She is the best gardener at the cottage and is working on improving her gardening skills. She was named for her blue coat, from the name of the blue birthstone of September, which was derived from the Greek word sappheiros. She is a very caring creature and very kind to others. She hates to see an argument, and does her best to not provoke others.

Sable isn't much of a talker. He feels that if it isn't necessary to say anything, he won't say it. He isn't much of a conservationist and usually keeps to himself. He does have a bloodwine quetzal that is his constant companion.

Silas is the companion of Sable. They met at an event when the little queztal was offered to the hoolie by the Event Mistress. Silas immediately took to Sable, and they became fast friends. Silas is usually on the hoolie's shoulder where it can see what is going on without being crushed.
